Marianne Sigouin-Lebel

Marianne has been Executive Director of the Soulanges Canal Park since its creation in 2021. Trained in business administration (tourism profile), project management and has a Master degree in public administration. Before taking on the position of general manager of the Park, she worked in regional tourism development at Développement Vaudreuil-Soulanges (DEV) for 8 years.

Passionate about the outdoors and culture, she is in charge of relations with the community, consultation and planning. The canal is truly her second home! Citizen participation and sustainable development are subjects that particularly appeal to her!

Mylène Gagné
Development Agent

Mylène is trained in landscape and ornamental horticulture marketing and in arts, letters and communication. She worked in horticulture for a few years before joining the Park team in 2022. Originally from the municipality of Les Cèdres, the Soulanges Canal has been part of the landscape of his life since childhood.

Resourceful, calm and environmentally conscious, Mylène’s mandate is to plan the implementation of the cultural and landscape master plan for the Soulanges Canal Park.

Charlotte Hogue

Charlotte holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in operations management for service companies, as well as in process and quality improvement. She worked for several years as a stage manager in the City of Montreal’s Réseau des grands parcs department.

She is passionate about outdoor activities such as fishing, cross-country skiing and hiking in the forest. It’s in nature that Charlotte really comes into her own!

Determined, hard-working and versatile, she is responsible for planning and coordinating the activities and services offered to the public in Soulanges Canal Park, as well as our many partnerships.

Alexandre Monahan
Responsible for maintenance and safety

Alexandre has been part of the Park team since 2024, but has been contributing to the development of this site (previously as a contract worker) for almost 10 years already. With his many years of experience in maintaining green spaces, his knowledge and know-how are essential to the preservation and development of the park!

You’ll come across him frequently in the field, so don’t hesitate to ask him questions.

Mario Lortie
Project Manager

Mario Lortie joined the team in 2025. As Project Manager, he contributes to the deployment of key infrastructure projects in the regional park. In particular, he is involved in projects to enhance the east and west mouth poles, restore heritage buildings in the park, and in the major project to upgrade our cycling infrastructure… to name but a few!

Mario has over 20 years’ experience as a project manager, including more than 10 years with the City of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, where he was also responsible for municipal buildings. With a background in architecture, he is well versed in the workings of the municipal and regional world. Living near the canal, it holds a special place in his vision of quality of life and high-potential public spaces.

Jules

Operations coordinator – rental

A citizen of Coteau-du-Lac, Jules Despot is in his fourth year at Soulanges Canal Park. An avid sportsman, he regularly frequents the canal, both recreationally and as part of his sports training. Friendly, smiling and professional, he’s a great addition to our summer team!

Laurence

Rental Attendant

This Coteau-du-Lac citizen is passionate about nature and loves to be outdoors. She’s part of the rental kiosk team for a third season! This summer, she joined the rental kiosk team. Laurence stands out by her calm and good mood that we love.

Adèle

Rental Attendant

Adèle Gosselin is in her third year at Parc du canal. She’s an athletic girl who loves being outdoors, whether it’s to enjoy the green spaces of Coteau-du-Lac, her hometown, or the tropical landscapes of Costa Rica, which she visits every year. Adele is our “talker” of the group, she loves to chat with people!

Thomas

Recreation attendant

A native of Coteau-du-Lac, Thomas Péladeau is in his second year with the team. A top-level sportsman, he is passionate about running, a sport in which he frequently takes part in national competitions. Discreet and hard-working, he takes part in park development and maintenance projects of all kinds, and assists our permanent team at the Pointe-des-Cascades office.
