Winter on the canal
Important!
Soulanges cycling path : in the event of heavy snow falls, snow operations will begin in the city streets, then the path will be cleared. Delays may occur. Your cooperation is appreciated. Please note that public toilets, excluding the one in Pointe-des-Cascades are closed during the winter. We recommand having a peek at our info-works interactive maps. You will find on there the state of the trails and the progress of plowing operations, as well as any closures of sections in case of very bad weather.
Winter walking and biking
You enjoyed your summer at the canal? Come and enjoy the beauty of winter with us as well! During the cold season, the bike path is cleared of snow for walkers and winter bikes.

at the nature park
Pointe-des-Cascades
Every Saturday and Sunday in winter, reserve your fatbike to enjoy the groomed and marked trails. Solo, as a couple, with friends or family, with or without experience, everyone is welcome! Reservations will be made online on our online Réservotron platform. As the number of bikes is limited, we encourage those interested to reserve their place quickly.
Consult the parc nature section for detailed terms and conditions.
Hiking
The trail network of the Pointe-des-Cascades nature park
As part of the Fatbike rental project, the trails are groomed in the Pointe-des-Cascades nature park. These trails are also accessible to hikers and snowshoers. In addition, some secondary, narrower trails are perfect for those who like to make the first tracks after snowfall!
Walkers and snowshoers, be careful on descents and stairs: crampons are sometimes necessary.
