Watercolor with Deirdre Potash
The Soulanges Canal Park is proud to announce the first programming of its Placottoir space. In fall 2023 and spring 2024, we’ll be offering a series of heritage-themed art workshops and talks in this one-of-a-kind outdoor space! Come to the Placottoir, located in front of our premises at 2 Chemin du Canal in Pointe-des-Cascades, to take part in these free creative workshops with a variety of talented local artists!
Deirdre Potash will be at Placo on October 28 from 10:00 to 12:00. Deirdre Potash is an art educator since 1982, and owner of an art studio since 2018. Her passion is creating varied works as well as the positive influence art has on human beings. She firmly believes that art stimulates the imagination, reduces stress and encourages the mind to reconnect with the present moment. In this workshop, participants will be inspired by the environment around them, while immersing themselves in the world of autumn colors and landscapes of the Soulanges Canal.
The workshop is open to the public and free of charge. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned artist, this workshop will give you the opportunity to create and leave with a unique and lasting work of art, as well as a chance to chat with the artist. All materials are provided, so all you have to do is show up with your creativity!
