Cinema-piano @ L’Embouchure

On Saturday, July 16, it’s movie-piano night at L’Embouchure!

Pianist Roman Zavada will take viewers on a journey through time, giving a second life to the classics of silent cinema. With his piano, he pays homage to the greatest geniuses of cinema. Roman Zavada juggles with the black and white keys of the piano in order to juxtapose the musical emotion in perfect symbiosis with the action of the film.

With an improvised and spontaneous musical narration, Zavada ensures an extraordinary performance and, as if by magic, becomes the accomplice of black and white images. Good cinema!

About Roman Zavada

Roman Zavada is one of the resident pianists of the Cinémathèque québécoise. Quickly, he became an essential reference as a pianist-accompanist improvising the musical narration on the classics of silent cinema. For more than 15 years, he has traveled the roads of Quebec and Canada to present these cine-concerts. With a current, spontaneous and always surprising musical touch, Roman Zavada succeeds in making an exceptional profession accessible!
