Description

Through the filter of many reflections carried out in 2016 as part of an exchange between the Université de Mons (Belgium) and the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Martin Dekeyser proposes a concept for the enhancement of the Soulanges Canal. The work, updated and published in 2021, adopts a contemporary vision of this heritage. From a sustainable perspective, it takes into account maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the Soulanges Canal.

In his proposals, Mr. Dekeyser brings concrete solutions, with a view of reopening the Soulanges Canal to recreational boating.
