Winter on the canal
Winter walking and biking
You enjoyed your summer at the canal? Come and enjoy the beauty of winter with us as well! During the cold season, the bike path is cleared of snow for walkers and winter bikes.
Park-and-ride lots are accessible for the winter period. You will find them in the following locations:
- Pointe-des-Cascades: on Chemin du Fleuve(in front of the church or in front of Parc Saint-Pierre) or on the 338 in front of Rue Claude.
- Les Cèdres: chemin Saint-Antoine (south of the intersection with route 338) and chemin Saint-Féréol (north of the intersection with route 338)
- Coteau-du-Lac: Paul-Stevens Park (Saint-Emmanuel Street) and downtown (parking lot adjacent to 20 Principale Street)
- Les Coteaux : a few parking spots available near the intermunicipal Coteau-du-Lac / Les Coteaux swimming pool
During heavy snowfall, snow removal is done on the roads as a priority, so there could be a delay between the snowfall and the passage of the snow plows. Thank you for being understanding!
Please also note that the sanitary facilities, with the exception of Pointe-des-Cascades, are closed for the winter period.
