Winter walking and cycling

You enjoyed your summer at the canal? Come and enjoy the beauty of winter with us as well! During the cold season, the bike path is cleared of snow for walkers and winter bikes.

Access and parking

Park-and-ride lots are accessible for the winter period. You will find them in the following locations:

● Pointe-des-Cascades: on Chemin du Fleuve ( in front of the church or in front of Saint-Pierre park ) or on the 338 in front of rue Claude .

● Les Cèdres: chemin Saint-Antoine (south of the intersection with route 338) and chemin Saint-Féréol (north of the intersection with route 338).

● Coteau-du-Lac: Paul-Stevens park (rue Saint-Emmanuel) and downtown (parking lot adjacent to 20, rue Principale).

● Les Coteaux: a few parking spaces available near the Coteau-du-Lac / Les Coteaux intermunicipal swimming pool

Important information

During heavy snowfall, snow removal is done on the roads as a priority, so there could be a delay between the snowfall and the passage of the snow plows. Thank you for being understanding!

Please also note that the sanitary facilities are closed for the winter period.

Notes to visitors

  • Do not go to the regional park if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or are awaiting test results.
  • Dress up accordingly to temperature!
  • Don’t forget your face cover and your water bottle.
  • If you feel like it, take pictures and share them with us at info@canaldesoulanges.ca !
