Job offer! Kayak & SUP rental attendants (seasonal)
The Parc du canal de Soulanges, through Développement Vaudreuil-Soulanges (DEV), is looking for dynamic and autonomous people to rent non-motorized boats (kayaks and SUP) for the summer of 2022.
Located in the heart of Coteau-du-Lac, the kiosk welcomes local and tourist customers to help them discover the Soulanges Canal from a unique point of view: its basins!
Functions
- Organize and prepare the rental kiosk, its furniture and its equipment;
- Provide rental services;
- Hand over equipment and accompany visitors in launching their boat;
- Explain the nautical safety rules and make users aware of the paddler’s code of ethics;
- Clean the various equipment according to the procedures in place and make visitors aware of compliance with health standards;
- Promote the activities of the Soulanges Canal Park to various clienteles;
- Answer visitors questions;
- If necessary, organize and perform the rental service at other locations in the Park;
- All other related tasks aimed at helping the park team in the accomplishment of its mission.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Be under the age of 30;
- Have a good experience in customer service;
- Be sensitive to customer experience and security;
- Demonstrate the following professional attitudes and behaviors: teamwork skills, autonomy,
dynamism, versatility, sense of initiative, sense of organization, punctuality; - Want to work outside and be in good physical shape;
- Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends;
- Hold first aid training, national lifeguard or kayak level 1 (assets);
- Bilingualism (an asset);
- Hold a valid driver’s license (an asset).
Working conditions
Salary: $17.00 per hour
Schedule : 30 hours / week
Duration: 12 to 15 weeks
Start: Be available on weekends from mid-May. Full time starting mid-June.
