A fifth season on the horizon for L’Embouchure!

A fifth season on the horizon for L’Embouchure!

Coteau-du-Lac, June 23, 2025 – Soulanges Canal Park, Groupe Charlebois and their partners are pleased to announce the return of L’Embouchure, from June 26 to August 24, 2025. L’Embouchure is a gathering place located at the western mouth of the Soulanges Canal. In collaboration with the Municipalité des Coteaux and the Ville de Coteau-du-Lac, L’Embouchure takes place at the Thomas-Monro and Louis Stanislas-Pariseau parks for the summer season. With shows, family days, watercraft, local products and much more, this is the perfect place to enjoy summer! Buoyed by the success of its previous editions, L’Embouchure continues to take root in the region’s cultural and recreational landscape with its fifth season.

Waterfront terrace and nautical kiosk

L’Embouchure’s facilities offer breathtaking views of the canal and Lake Saint-François, making it the perfect place to get together with friends and enjoy the warm weather. New this year, Parc du canal de Soulanges takes over the paddling kiosk with an enhanced offer for outdoor enthusiasts and paddle sports enthusiasts: kayak rentals, services and advice for paddlers on excursions, loan of sports equipment and lawn games for all ages.

Musical programming

Once again this year, free shows are presented on Friday and Saturday evenings, with live performances to suit all tastes. Local artists, emerging groups and new discoveries will punctuate the summer evenings, thanks to financial support from Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Programming is orchestrated by Groupe Charlebois, site manager. Details of the calendar can be found at www.lembouchure.ca.

A summer punctuated by the Nautical Festival

This year, the Festival nautique de Coteau-du-Lac et Les Coteaux will offer an enhanced, three-day version, from July 18 to 20, 2025. It kicks off on Friday evening with a colorful performance by Pulsation Productions, followed by two days of on-the-water entertainment, shows and family activities.

Financial partners

The Soulanges Canal Park would like to acknowledge the invaluable financial contribution of the Regional County Municipality (RCM) of Vaudreuil-Soulanges and the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation, as part of the RCM “Signature innovation” projects component of the Fonds régions et ruralité.

“I’m delighted that our government is supporting the Vaudreuil-Soulanges MRC in the deployment of this symbolic site, which is back for summer 2025. L’Embouchure enhances the Montérégie region’s tourism offering for the benefit of its citizens, and does so in a creative and adapted way. I’d like to thank the partners who are making this initiative possible,” saysMarilyne Picard, MNA for Soulanges.

The new rental kiosk at L’Embouchure is the result of funding from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions through its Tourism Growth Program. Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges is also a financial partner in this project and in the musical programming of l’Embouchure en 2025.

Soulanges Canal rental kiosks season opens

Soulanges Canal rental kiosks season opens

Coteau-du-Lac, June 18, 2025 – Parc du canal de Soulanges is pleased to announce the opening of the 2025 season for its equipment rental kiosk in downtown Coteau-du-Lac, as well as the inauguration of its new rental center in L’Embouchure.

The Soulanges Canal is a popular destination for paddle sports enthusiasts, who can discover its rich historical and landscape heritage in a whole new way! With calm water and no motorized navigation, the Soulanges Canal is perfect for beginner paddlers or those looking for a safe, contemplative or sporty experience.

In 2025, the equipment fleet offers several new features. Visitors can rent bicycles (hybrid or electric) and explore the 35 km bike path linking Pointe-des-Cascades to Rivière-Beaudette. This cycle-touring route passes through a variety of natural and heritage landscapes, punctuated by rest areas and heritage interpretation stops. A great opportunity to take your time, get away from it all and experience Soulanges Canal Park to the full.

In terms of water sports activities, the Route Bleue du Parc du canal de Soulanges has been enriched by the addition of new public docks, installed in collaboration with riverside municipalities. These new access points make it easier to explore the canal’s various basins, each offering its own unique character and ambience. By summer 2025, after several years’ work, these additions will make it possible to decompartmentalize the paddlesports basins over a distance of nearly 17 kilometers. The location of the docks is available via the interactive map on the Soulanges Canal Park website.

“The Government of Canada invests in the tourism industry by supporting regional organizations like Soulanges Canal Park. They showcase unique experiences that enable tourists to appreciate Quebec, its hospitality, culture, history and the beauty of its natural landscapes. The development of the cycling tourism offer in this outdoor and cultural heritage site is excellent news for the entire region,” declared the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (DEC).
