La pointe festive

This year, seven weeks of fun and discovery are being prepared! The programming and facilities will provide the perfect gathering place for young and old. The plans include: refreshment bar showcasing local products, welcoming terrace, artistic events, family day, intimate musical performances, charity brunch, sporting events, festive DJ evenings and four major shows produced by Groupe Loisir Suroît.

The big shows

Thanks to the participation of Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges, L’Embouchure will stage four evenings of great shows. The series will begin on July 22, at the opening of the Festival nautique, with Kain’s performance. Subsequently, Clodelle & Petitom (July 30), Aswell (August 13) and Clay and friends (August 27) will also be on stage. Information and links to the ticket office can be found on lembouchure.ca. A season pass is on sale for $60 until May 31 (limited quantity)!

L’Embouchure

Located at the western end of the canal de Soulanges, la pointe festive takes place in Thomas-Monro (Coteau-du-Lac) and Louis Stanislas-Pariseau (Les Coteaux) parks. With a colorful look, L’Embouchure offers a relaxed atmosphere and a breathtaking view of Lake Saint-François. The canal de Soulanges park, the City of Coteau-du-Lac and the Municipality of Les Coteaux join forces with Groupe Loisir Suroît, designated representative, for the animation of the site. The initiative enhances and energizes the banks of the canal de Soulanges, in addition to enhancing the recreational, cultural and sports offer for citizens and visitors.

Programming is scalable. Special and thematic animations, performances by local artists and a host of surprises will be added over the weeks. Follow L’Embouchure on Facebook and lnstagram and watch the page www.lembouchure.ca so you don’t miss anything from the 2022 edition!

Nautical weekends are an opportunity to give the population privileged access to water. Initiation to sailing, towed tube tours (by reservation), floating inflatable games, raft construction, loan of non-motorized boats, waterline demonstration and initiation to slackline, zip line, mini-pedal boats, musical performances on pontoon are only ” an overview of the family offer that will be deployed there. A food truck will also be on site. Details of the program can be found online on the websites of the municipalities concerned.

Regional products

The summer terrace is the perfect place to present the brewers and winegrowers of Coteau-du-Lac and the region. The 5 @ 7 Fridays Discoveries will effectively allow people to discover our flavors. Moreover, the terrace menu offers at all times, among a wider choice, beers from the Brasserie Bois Blanc and the Microbrasserie des Trois-Lacs, spirits from the Distillerie des Trois-Lacs as well as wines from the Pomona vineyard.

July 23: Bois Blancs Brasserie

Call for projects for the animation of the western mouth – summer 2021

March 23, 2021

Call for projects for the animation of the western mouth of the Soulanges canal – summer 2021

Stretching over 23.5 km, the Soulanges canal has had a major impact on the socio-economic development of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region. Today, it represents, for the some 150,000 residents of the region (including 13,000 in the municipalities directly affected by this call for projects), a prominent heritage, cultural and outdoor space. The western mouth of the Soulanges canal is an area that is considered to have high recreational tourism potential given its location and the characteristics of the land that makes it up. The site is shared between two municipalities, in large part by the Thomas-Monro and Louis-Stanislas-Pariseau parks, totaling approximately 20,000 square meters. Although belonging to two separate municipalities, these two parks are contiguous. Located near a village center, at the crossroads of the Soulanges cycle path (200,000 passages in front of the meters in 2020) forming part of the Route verte, they constitute a window on Lake Saint-François (Saint-Laurent river) and are currently little exploited. In addition, many boaters navigate the waters of Lake Saint-François and the western mouth sector is a privileged place for anchoring.

The municipalities of Coteau-du-Lac and Les Coteaux as well as DEV would like to join forces with private projects to animate and enhance the site of the western mouth of the canal for the 2021 season in a collective and original formula.

Investments from regional partners are planned for 2021, in particular:

  • Concerts, events and / or cultural services;
  • Docking of a shuttle for thematic cruises (subject to authorization to set up a dock);
  • Free yoga sessions on Saturday mornings as part of Zen Saturdays at the Canal;
  • Site development by adding furniture and recreational items;

Regional organizations and businesses are invited to submit projects to animate and enhance the site this summer. The projects sought may be exclusively commercial (catering or other support service for the tourist industry), nautical, cultural, event or even combine different spheres of activity in order to create synergy.
